Harris Set to Visit Border for Only Second Time as VP

While mainstream media paints Harris' border visit as her first time as the Dem nominee, the reality is that she has only visited it once in three years.

In what can be politely described as a belated gesture of responsibility, Vice President Kamala Harris has announced a sudden visit to Arizona‘s embattled southern border. This decision, conspicuously timed and scant on details, comes after years of neglect and has rightly drawn fierce criticism from President Trump.

It’s revealing that this will be only her second visit to the border since taking office—her first and only other was a mere drive-through back in June 2021. This lack of attention has been nothing short of disastrous, as the New York Times delicately puts it, noting that this will be her “first visit to the southern border since becoming the Democratic nominee,” conveniently omitting the glaring fact that the border crisis has only worsened significantly under her watch.

President Trump, in a series of posts on Truth Social, didn’t mince words about Harris’s neglect: “After almost four years, Border Czar Kamala Harris has decided, for political reasons, that it’s time for her to go to our broken Southern Border.” He rightly lambasted her for the delay, highlighting the severe consequences of her inaction. Millions have crossed into our nation, many from dubious backgrounds, including hardened criminals and potential terrorists—this is not hyperbole but a dangerous reality.

Kamala Harris’ Border Visit Does Nothing to Change the Damage Done to This Nation

Additionally, it’s particularly ironic that Harris will traverse past the very stretches of border wall that were erected during the Trump administration—a barrier that has effectively reduced illegal crossings. Yet, her forthcoming remarks are expected to downplay the grave realities: under her watch, millions have entered the United States unchecked, severely straining our law enforcement and community resources.

The impact of this unchecked influx is profound, transforming every state into a border state, feeling the repercussions of policy failures that resonate far beyond the border itself. As Harris prepares to address the public, Americans must recall the true extent of the damage her negligence has inflicted on our communities.

This is more than a policy oversight; it is a national crisis actively worsened by leadership that seems disconnected from the stark dangers presented by an insecure border. The necessary repairs to this breach will demand more than just acknowledgment; they require a committed and understanding leadership, prepared to enact real and effective solutions to secure our nation’s borders.
