While American Farmers Suffer, Biden Pushes for ‘Queer Farming’

As American farmers grapple with mental health struggles and financial trouble, Biden's admin sees queer farming as the real topic of interest.

In what reads like a parody, the Farm Credit Administration (FCA), originally conceived during the Great Depression to bolster struggling farmers, has now taken a hard left into the fields of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) standards, even promoting transgender farming. Established to provide essential credit to farmers and ranchers, this independent agency is now engrossed in pushing the woke agenda, as evidenced by an internal newsletter titled “DEIA for All.”

The newsletter not only prompts FCA employees to confront their “implicit bias” through various tests aimed at fostering self-awareness but also propels them to embrace the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals in agriculture. Moreover, it references materials that laud the unique contributions of LGBTQ farmers to American agriculture, suggesting they possess innate capabilities to innovate in ways their “straight, cis counterparts” cannot. This includes a featured article where a queer farmer discusses “queering the systems of capitalism” by ensuring fair wages on their farm, painting a picture of capitalism in need of a progressive overhaul.

Where Is The Attention on the Real Issues of Farmers?

In a country where the suicide rate among farmers is 3.5 times higher than the national average, farm debt has skyrocketed, and we’re losing thousands of farmers annually because they can no longer sustain their businesses, it’s downright baffling—and frankly, insulting—that the Biden administration is prioritizing transgenderism and LGBTQ ideology in agricultural policies. Our farmers are grappling with real crises: financial ruin, mental health struggles, and the relentless pressures of keeping their farms afloat. Yet, here we are, seeing an administration focus on pushing social agendas rather than providing tangible support that addresses the actual challenges these hardworking Americans face every day. What a slap in the face to our farmers who feed America and steward our lands.

Under the leadership of Joe Biden, DEIA initiatives have become a top priority. What’s disturbing here is not just the radical shift from the FCA’s original mission but the broader trend of federal agencies transforming into bastions of woke ideology—thanks to Biden, of course. However, what the FCA and the Biden administration fail to recognize is that this shift towards prioritizing identity politics over core mission objectives does not serve the American people or the farmers who depend on them. It merely sows division and prioritizes ideological conformity over agricultural efficacy.

This is a stark illustration of how far our federal institutions have strayed under Biden’s leadership, with an increasing focus on social engineering rather than fulfilling their foundational duties. The FCA’s journey from aiding farmers to promoting gender politics on the farm is a misstep that should concern anyone who values the integrity of our federal institutions and the taxpayers who fund them.
