Woke Biden Administration Scrubs Words Like ‘Man-Made’

In an effort to appeal to the LGBTQ community, the Biden administration says government agency cannot use gendered language like "man-made."

The Interior Department’s mining agency has embarked on a mission to scrub its website and field offices of any language that doesn’t bow down to the woke standards set forth by President Joe Biden‘s executive order. Employees of the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement have been instructed to comb through all agency communications, expunging any hint of traditional views on gender or marriage that might ruffle the feathers of the LGBTQ community.

On his first day of Presidency, Biden made it crystal clear where his priorities lay with the signing of Executive Order 13988, titled “Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation.” Under this directive, the Interior Department is now on a crusade against any term that hints at biological reality, even targeting technical language like “manways” and “man-made” for being too “gendered.” The question begs, when will this madness reach its peak?

And now, we’re at a point where the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement is essentially throwing up its hands, admitting that the task of sanitizing every sign, statement, and piece of communication is so overwhelming that they need reinforcements. It’s a breathtaking admission of the extent to which ideological purity tests have overtaken common sense.

This is a blatant misallocation of resources—time, money, and human effort—that could be directed toward actual issues facing our nation. Instead, we’re stuck in a quagmire of semantics, all because the current administration seems more interested in signaling its progressive credentials than in dealing with the pressing concerns of the American people.

This overhaul is a surrender to a radical agenda that places more value on not offending anyone than on dealing with the substantive issues at hand. As the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement bends over backward to comply with these mandates, one has to wonder about the cost, not just in terms of dollars, but in terms of common sense and priorities. This linguistic policing is a vivid illustration of how deeply the tendrils of woke ideology have embedded themselves into the fabric of our government, distracting from its real duties and responsibilities.
