Trans HHS Assistant Wants to Eliminate Age Restrictions for Sex Changes

Dr. Rachel Levine from the Department of HHS put immense pressure on WPATH to allow children of any age to get sex changes.

In a rather disturbing revelation from the Boe v. Marshall case, it’s come to light that Dr. Rachel Levine, Biden‘s trans diversity hire and the assistant secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, has been quite active behind the scenes, exerting pressure on the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) to drop age restrictions for sex change procedures from their guidelines. This wasn’t about medical concerns or scientific backing; it was purely a political move aimed at preventing laws that would restrict such procedures for children.

Dr. Levine’s interference was geared towards aiding a broader progressive LGBTQ political agenda under the guise of health policy. Indeed, Levine saw the guidelines as a political tool that could be manipulated to forestall legislative attempts to regulate the medical transition of minors. The pressure was intense, as internal communications revealed Levine’s push to expedite the release of the new standards to align with the administration’s political objectives. Even more shocking, Levine’s direct involvement led to the removal of specific age recommendations for starting puberty blockers, hormones, and surgeries, which the previous guidelines had detailed. These moves, clearly political rather than scientific, aimed to mute any data that could support age-based restrictions, thus aligning medical guidance with political strategies rather than health needs.

Such manipulation of health policies for political gain is outrageous and dangerous. Dr. Levine’s actions underscore a troubling trend within the current administration to prioritize ideological agendas over sound medical practices and the well-being of minors. It’s evident that this push to erase age guidelines from crucial medical advice isn’t about compassion or care; it’s about political convenience. It sets a perilous precedent where the health of children is secondary to political victories.

We must ask ourselves: how many more manipulations and erasures of scientific standards will we tolerate under the guise of progressive policies? This isn’t progressive; it’s regressive and harmful. As a society, we must demand that medical standards be dictated by actual medical professionals and scientific data, not by bureaucrats and politicians with an agenda. This case not only reveals the lengths to which some will go to push their political objectives but also the profound dangers such manipulation poses to vulnerable populations, especially children.
