Rep. Gaetz Says Five Assassination Teams in U.S. Are Targeting Trump

The attempts on Donald Trump's life may not be over as Rep. Gaetz explains there are five active assassination teams in the United States targeting Trump.

In a revelation that should send chills down the spine of every American who values the security of our leaders and the stability of our republic, Congressman Matt Gaetz has disclosed alarming details about the threats facing former President Donald Trump. According to a senior Department of Homeland Security official, there are no fewer than five “assassination teams” currently active within the United States, with the explicit aim of targeting Trump.

This chilling information came to light following a harrowing incident where a gunman, Ryan Routh, lay in ambush for nearly 12 hours outside Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, attempting to assassinate the former president. Routh’s precise knowledge of Trump’s unscheduled movements raises serious concerns about the integrity and security of confidential information.

Representative Gaetz, in a discussion on the Real America’s Voice podcast, highlighted this grave security lapse, revealing that before this second assassination attempt, he was informed of the existence of these teams—three of which are supposedly inspired by foreign governments, and two are domestic groups. The very notion that actors, both foreign and domestic, are actively plotting to harm a former president is a stark reminder of the dangerous world in which we live. It also casts a troubling light on the adequacy of the protective measures currently in place.

What is equally disturbing is the apparent discrepancy in the allocation of security resources. Gaetz pointed out the puzzling decision to reduce the protective detail for Trump, despite the heightened threats against him, while simultaneously bolstering security for individuals like Jill Biden and John Bolton, who face significantly lower risks. This misallocation is not just a bureaucratic oversight; it is a glaring failure that potentially puts lives at risk.

Moreover, the situation is exacerbated by bureaucratic red tape and political interference. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has voiced his frustrations, claiming that federal authorities are obstructing his state’s investigation into the assassination attempts and withholding crucial information. This lack of cooperation between state and federal agencies is unacceptable and potentially dangerous, undermining efforts to ensure the safety of not only President Trump but all who are involved in public service.

The American public deserves transparency and assurance that every possible measure is being taken to protect its leaders. The current state of affairs, where political calculations might be influencing security arrangements, is deeply troubling. We must demand rigorous oversight and immediate rectification of any deficiencies in our security apparatus. The safety of our nation’s leaders should never be compromised by political gamesmanship or bureaucratic incompetence.
