President Biden Received Recurring Payments from Hunter Biden
In a recent development, it has come to light that President Biden received recurring payments of $1,380 from his son Hunter’s law firm, Owasco PC, starting in late 2018. The House Oversight Committee released documents indicating that these monthly transfers were made to the president shortly after concerns were raised about the same account receiving millions of dollars in Chinese government-linked funds without any apparent services rendered.
The evidence, which includes a bank order and a voided check for the then-future president, suggests at least three payments were made in September, October, and November 2018, totaling $4,140. Notably, these payments were not from Hunter Biden’s personal account but from Owasco PC, a business entity connected to Hunter Biden.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer expressed concern over what he described as “blatant corruption.” He emphasized that these payments were part of the investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax evasion and other serious crimes associated with Owasco PC. The Department of Justice is currently investigating Hunter Biden, and there are allegations of efforts to prevent investigators from questioning Joe Biden, as per whistleblower testimony.
The precise purpose of these payments and the origin of the funds remain unclear. The release of this information coincides with House Republicans preparing to question James Biden and Hunter Biden about the president’s role in the family’s business dealings in countries like China and Ukraine. There’s also the possibility of a floor vote to authorize an ongoing impeachment inquiry later this month.
The revelations add another layer to the complex web of financial dealings involving the Biden family. While Joe Biden, as a presidential candidate, denied discussing business with his relatives, evidence has since emerged that he met with associates from two controversial business relationships—Burisma Holdings in Ukraine and CEFC China Energy. Documents from Hunter Biden’s laptop indicate that a Burisma board adviser sought “bank reference” information around the same time the initial transfer to Joe Biden was sought.
Furthermore, Hunter Biden was deeply involved with disbursing millions received from CEFC China Energy. An internal Bank Secrecy Act expert warned in June 2018 that the institution should reconsider its relationship with Hunter due to Owasco PC receiving Chinese funds without apparent services rendered.
As these revelations unfold, questions are being raised about the transparency of the Biden family‘s financial dealings and the potential impact on the ongoing impeachment probe. The White House has yet to respond to these latest developments.
