Kamala Harris Wishes to Erase Columbus Day

Those who try to hide from and rewrite history like Kamala Harris on Columbus Day are the ones fueling division and hatred in our country.

Kamala Harris embodies the archetype of a leftist zealot, hell-bent not only on burdening Americans with illegal immigration, higher taxes and stripping our police of necessary funds but also on eradicating cherished American traditions. Her advocacy for replacing Columbus Day with Indigenous People’s Day is a clear example of this agenda.

Back in 2019, while mingling with voters in New Hampshire, Harris didn’t just flirt with the idea of renaming Columbus Day—she embraced it wholeheartedly. This comes as no surprise, as she has often positioned herself against the foundational elements of our national story, pushing a narrative that is as divisive as it is destructive.

She leverages every opportunity to paint the United States as a landscape marred by historical crimes, connecting the legacy of Columbus with the deepest scars of American history, such as slavery and segregation. By doing so, Harris isn’t just attacking a day that commemorates an iconic figure in Western exploration but is also undermining the very fabric of our nation’s identity, casting shadows where there should be a celebration of progress and exploration.

Harris’s Erasure of Columbus Day Is Anti-American

Columbus Day should be a day to celebrate of discovery and cultural exchange, honoring an essential chapter of our global human story. Yet, Harris and her supporters have continuously pushed to uproot this tradition, aligning themselves with activists who disdain the historical significance and contributions of European explorers.

This kind of cultural revisionism is exactly what fuels the division in our country. It’s not just about a holiday; it’s about erasing parts of our history in the name of political correctness. Trump has consistently stood against such revisions, understanding that to appreciate the full narrative of our nation, we must recognize all its chapters. True progress comes from a clear-eyed view of history, complete with its hard truths and lessons. It’s about embracing historical transparency and deep understanding, not rewriting it to suit the present narrative. This is the foundation of genuine advancement.

The Biden administration, with Harris at the helm, formally recognized Indigenous Peoples’ Day, attempting to overshadow the traditional Columbus Day—a move that clearly reflects their priorities and disconnect with America’s heritage. Harris claims to strive for inclusivity and honesty in historical narratives, yet she champions a version of history that aligns neatly with a far-left agenda, neglecting the multifaceted reality of our past.

Every October on Columbus Day, we are reminded of the stark differences in leadership and respect for our nation’s history between leaders like Trump, who seek to honor our past achievements, and those like Harris, who would rather rewrite history than learn from it.
