ICE, ICE, Baby: Raids and Mass Deportations Underway Across U.S.

This is what putting America first looks like. As these mass deportations show, when laws are enforced and leaders stand firm, America is safer.

Under the direction of the new Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, a sweep of the Big Apple captured about 30 accused illegal-migrant killers and traffickers. This wasn’t just another day in the office; it was the first substantial raid of President Donald Trump’s new crackdown on illegal immigration, a promise kept from his hardline policy stance.

Secretary Noem donned a protective vest and joined the agents in an armored BearCat SWAT vehicle, rolling through the streets of New York to personally ensure the raids were executed flawlessly. The operation targeted some of the most violent offenders lurking in our communities—individuals connected to terrifying crimes like kidnapping, murder, and trafficking. It’s a stark reminder of the types of dangers these policies aim to protect us from.

Some critics might call Noem’s involvement “theater,” but I see it as a powerful statement of commitment and leadership. Under the previous administration, our border security became a joke—an open invitation for criminals to enter and exploit our generosity. Now, with Noem at the helm and Trump back in office, we’re seeing a return to policies that prioritize American safety and respect for our laws.

The DHS official’s comments about a “huge cultural shift” are spot on. For too long, our immigration enforcement agencies have been hindered by bureaucracy and political interference. It’s refreshing to see a leadership that is proactive about dismantling the safe havens that have allowed criminal elements to flourish at the expense of American communities.

These early morning raids serve as a clear message: the United States will no longer be a playground for international criminals. The presence of Secretary Noem on the ground isn’t just for show; it’s a morale booster for the agencies involved and a signal to the American people that this administration is serious about protecting them.

This is what putting America first looks like. As these raids show, when laws are enforced and leaders stand firm, America is safer. This should be the standard, not the exception. And under Trump’s leadership, it’s clear that America is getting back on track, ensuring our nation is secure, our borders are protected, and our people are safe.
