Homeland Security Deports 131 Chinese Illegal Immigrants on Flight

While Homeland Security touts these flights as successes, the reality is that they merely scratch the surface when it comes to Chinese illegal immigrants.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security‘s recent announcement that 131 Chinese illegal immigrants were deported is a drop in the bucket compared to the overwhelming influx we’ve witnessed under the Biden-Harris administration. With tens of thousands of Chinese nationals having crossed our borders, these 131 represent merely a token effort, but it’s a step in the right direction.

The situation brings to light not just the challenges of border security, but the complexities of dealing with a nation like China, which has its own geopolitical agendas. The Chinese Communist Party, known for its relentless pursuit of global dominance, clearly sees these immigration dynamics as another avenue to exert its influence on American soil.

Alarmingly, while the DHS touts its removal operations as a decisive crackdown on illegal immigration, the truth of their policies betrays a different reality—one of concerning leniency. The federal government has drastically simplified the vetting process for Chinese nationals, reducing it to a mere five basic questions. This is not just irresponsible—it’s a national security gamble. Given China‘s well-documented adversarial actions towards the U.S., this approach is woefully inadequate. We need stringent vetting that reflects the serious threats we face from a nation that has consistently positioned itself against American interests. The Biden-Harris administration‘s lax policy here is clearly a failure.

The Republicans on the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability have rightly highlighted these concerns, stressing the potential threats posed by the influx of minimally vetted Chinese nationals. This isn’t just about immigration; it’s about the CCP potentially exploiting our porous borders to further their agenda against American interests.

Every deported flight might look like a step in the right direction, but it barely scratches the surface of the broader implications of our flawed immigration system. The CCP’s machinations don’t pause at our border, and as such, our policies shouldn’t provide them an open gate. It’s time for a rigorous reevaluation of how we handle immigration from nations like China, ensuring that our national security is not compromised by a lax approach to border control and immigration vetting.
