FBI’s Narrative on Assassination Attempt Dismantled by New Evidence

The FBI is firm in their stance that Crooks was a far-right extremist, but recent evidence from GAB CEO tells a very different story.

What exactly is the FBI concealing? In a move that reeks of selective disclosure and potential manipulation, a top FBI official recently testified about President Trump’s would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, focusing on the assailant’s supposed far-right views from years past while conveniently omitting more recent social media activity that paint very a different picture.

FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate presented to the Senate a narrative firmly anchoring Crooks in far-right extremism based on an old social media account, allegedly active when Crooks was merely a teenager. According to Abbate, this account displayed deeply concerning Antisemitic and anti-immigrant sentiments. Yet, the deputy director glossed over more recent activity that suggests a starkly different ideological stance, favoring President Biden, particularly his immigration policies.

This glaring omission came to light when GAB CEO Andrew Torba provided insights contradicting the FBI’s angle. Torba revealed an Emergency Disclosure Request from the FBI linked to the GAB account “EpicMicrowave,” which Torba suggested was associated with Crooks. Contrary to the FBI’s portrayal, this account, active during early 2021, supported Biden’s COVID lockdowns and border policies—hardly the markers of a far-right extremist.

The FBI’s focus on Crooks’ teenage postings while ignoring his more recent pro-Biden stances raises alarming questions about the agency’s objectivity and impartiality. Why spotlight one aspect of an individual’s online activity and disregard another? This selective reporting by the FBI is not just irresponsible; it’s dangerously misleading, crafting a narrative that conveniently fits a predetermined agenda while ignoring facts that contradict it.

What Is the FBI Hiding and Why?

Moreover, the situation casts a shadow on the FBI‘s spotty commitment to transparency and truth. When government agencies pick and choose what information to disclose, they betray the public trust and fuel skepticism about their motives and actions. The American people deserve a full and unfiltered picture, especially when it relates to matters as grave as assassination attempts on public figures.

It’s disheartening to see the FBI, an institution that should stand as a paragon of impartiality and justice, engaging in politically motivated censorship. Such actions not only undermine the agency’s credibility but also threaten the democratic foundations upon which our nation stands.

As the situation unfolds, one must ask: What else is being withheld? And at what cost? What are they hiding? The American people must demand accountability and transparency from those tasked with their safety—anything less is a disservice to the principles of justice and democracy.
