Dearborn, Michigan Chants ‘Death to Israel’ at Rally Attended by Mayor

"Death to Israel" chants rang out at a Dearborn, Michigan, rally. Instead of condemning it, Dearborn's mayor was a keynote speaker in the Antisemitic gathering.

Enemies of America are no longer just at the gates; they are inside, marching through our towns. A recent rally in Dearborn, Michigan, looked more like a scene from the heart of the Middle East than the heartland of America. Rallygoers, alongside Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud, waved flags in support of Lebanon and chanted “Death to Israel.” This rally wasn’t just a fringe event; it was attended by local dignitaries where speakers praised Hezbollah leaders.

Let’s be clear: What happened in Dearborn is a disturbing wake-up call. We witnessed an American mayor participating in a rally where the destruction of Israel was openly celebrated. It’s a stark reminder of the internal threats fostering within our own borders—threats that not only challenge our international alliances but also our very principles of democracy and freedom. This footage ought to be a stark alarm bell for every American. It’s not only the overt anti-Israel vitriol that should concern us, but also the insidious acceptance of extremism it represents. This isn’t just about a foreign conflict; it’s a very real threat to our own national security. The chants and flags waving in Michigan aren’t just an attack on Israel; they are a harbinger of what these radicals want for America too.

It Is Time We Get Anti-Israel Politicians Out of Office

Looking over Mayor Hammoud’s X account, it’s deeply troubling to see a lack of condemnation for the antisemitic and anti-American rhetoric that polluted the air in his presence. Instead, his feed is littered with anti-Israel propaganda, spreading unfounded accusations of genocide. This is the kind of leadership that doesn’t just fail our communities—it endangers them. Jewish Americans, and indeed all Americans, need to understand the gravity of this threat: our own public leaders, like Hammoud, are not just turning a blind eye to radical Islamic extremism within our borders, they’re fanning its flames.

It’s imperative that Americans see the connection here: Antisemitism is, at its core, a strike against American values. The support shown for terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah in the heart of Michigan is a blatant indicator that these elements aim not only to annihilate Israel, our steadfast ally and the sole democracy in the Middle East, but also to destroy the United States.

The rally in Dearborn is not an isolated incident; it is a clear symptom of a growing and alarming trend—a trend that sees anti-American sentiments gaining ground and eroding our foundational values from within. This cannot go unchecked. It’s imperative that our leaders, at all levels, rise to defend our nation, ensuring such displays of hate and extremism are met with swift and resolute action, not passive indifference. If they fail to act against such threats, they have no business holding public office. Enemies of America and our allies must find absolutely no refuge on American soil.
