Anti-Israel Protestors Get $12 Million from Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs’ indirect involvement through its charitable donations to protestors raises profound ethical questions.

It’s appalling to witness the willingness of the liberal elite to fund organizations that stoke the flames of hatred under the guise of activism. Groups like The People’s Forum, which has been actively involved in pro-Hamas protests, receive a staggering amount of financial support from high-profile donors like Goldman Sachs’s charitable arm—over $12 million. This isn’t just friendly support; it’s a bolstering of efforts that clearly align against Israel and in a disturbing manner, celebrate the actions of Hamas.

What’s even more disconcerting is the celebration of violent attacks against Jews, thinly veiled under the guise of political protest. These protests, some organized and cheered on by The People’s Forum, have not only spread hate but have also dared to celebrate the massacre of over 1,200 Israelis by Hamas on October 7, 2023. This goes beyond the pale of free speech and treads into the territory of hate speech and support for terrorist activities.

Goldman Sachs’s indirect involvement through its charitable donations raises profound ethical questions. It’s one thing to support free speech, but it’s wholly another to fund groups whose activities could very well be seen as supporting terrorist actions under international law. This isn’t just a lapse in judgment; it’s a severe oversight in corporate responsibility that could, under IRS guidelines, even jeopardize the charitable status of such groups.

The IRS’s charity guidelines are clear: groups may lose their charity status if they engage in activities that violate laws or induce criminal activities. Yet, here we are, seeing vast amounts of money flowing into the coffers of those who stand not just against Israel, but seemingly in support of actions that desecrate the principles of human decency and international law.

This scenario is a chilling illustration of how far the far-left will go, backed by substantial financial resources and influential connections, to further their Antisemitic and vehemently anti-Israel agenda. The public must remain vigilant and hold these elite institutions and individuals accountable for their role in sowing chaos and division, particularly during an election year when stakes are high.

It’s a stark reminder that the battle for truth and decency in our public discourse is ongoing. We cannot stand idly by while deep-pocketed donors and radical organizations manipulate societal fault lines to propagate their destructive ideologies. As responsible citizens, it is imperative that we confront this insidious influence and work tirelessly to ensure that our societal values of fairness and justice are not eroded by those who seek to polarize and destabilize.
