Anti-Israel Company Ben & Jerry’s Sues Parent Company Over Gaza Stance

Ben & Jerry's claims its parent company, Unilever, is stifling their right to political expression, which, in their case, is an aggressively anti-Israel stance.

Ben & Jerry’s has taken the step of suing its parent company, alleging that Unilever has stifled their efforts to express support for Palestinian causes amidst the ongoing conflict involving Israel and Hamas. The glaring hypocrisy of Ben & Jerry’s, a company that masquerades under the guise of peace and human rights while supporting a terrorist group that epitomizes violence and oppression, is sheer irony.

It’s a textbook example of the woke religion that distorts every issue into a binary oppressor vs. oppressed narrative, consistently getting the facts wrong. The fact that Unilever is stepping in to stop them from openly promoting their skewed preference for terrorists over Israel’s democratic values is quite revealing. Put simply: many people don’t want to support a company that supports the destruction of the Jewish state.

Unilever’s interference, according to Ben & Jerry’s, has reached a point where it’s not just about business practices but about censoring political expression, which has driven the ice cream giant to the courts. Ben & Jerry’s is not just fighting to sell or not sell ice cream in Israel but to push a vehemently anti-Israel agenda.

Ben & Jerry’s actions reflect a disturbing trend where businesses venture deep into geopolitical issues, at times seeming to prioritize political activism over corporate responsibility and stakeholder interests. If their previous losses—billions in market cap after a contentious Fourth of July tweet—are any indication, the company’s current trajectory could spell further financial and reputational damage.

Wokeism in business has repeatedly proven to be a disastrous strategy, and it seems that a significant portion of the American populace is finally recognizing its duplicity. Consider the backtracking on woke policies by companies like Harley-Davidson and Tractor Supply. Ben & Jerry’s, however, has long embraced this woke mentality, alienating potential customers with their extreme ideologies. Now, they’re veering into outright antisemitism, driven by a desperate compulsion to support those attacking Israel.

As for the outcome of this court case, it remains uncertain. But one thing is clear: if Ben & Jerry’s rejects Israel, then Israel—and indeed, Jewish and pro-Israel individuals worldwide—will reject Ben & Jerry’s. There are plenty of other delicious ice cream companies that don’t support Hamas.
