ABC Reportedly Set to Hire Pro-Trump Panelist for ‘The View’

Could "The View" see a shift towards less bias? Maybe. An ABC insider claims the network is desperately seeking a pro-Trump panelist for the show.

In a desperate scramble to salvage viewership and credibility, ABC is reportedly considering adding a pro-Trump panelist to “The View,” following President-elect Donald Trump‘s thunderous victory in the 2024 election. This shake-up comes after the ABC News debate which blatantly favored Kamala Harris against Trump in their presidential face-off in September.

An insider allegedly revealed that ABC News Group & Networks President Debra OConnell and ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic have been holding crisis meetings with executive producers about injecting some much-needed balance into “The View.” The show has long been a bastion for far-left rhetoric spouted by the likes of Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, with only token Republican input from noted anti-Trumpers like Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin. If you ask me, that doesn’t sound like much diversity at all.

The murmurs around ABC corridors suggest a looming existential question: What will become of the entrenched hosts like Goldberg and Behar should a true Trump supporter join the fray? Will they tolerate dissenting voices, or will the sparks fly?

The seismic impact of Trump’s landslide victory is obvious, as it served as a much-needed wake-up call for ABC execs. They’re finally coming to grips with the fact that they can’t continue to disregard the views of a vast swath of America. Looking ahead to the next four years, it’s evident there’s a real anxiety at the network about their glaring ideological uniformity. This stark realization hits hard—ABC’s echo chamber of far-left rhetoric has alienated half the country, underscoring a desperate need for a broader spectrum of voices.

If ABC plans to remain relevant, they must embrace this diversity of thought. Continually sidelining conservative viewpoints is not only poor journalism, it’s bad business. Trump’s overwhelming support signals a shift that these media moguls can’t afford to ignore anymore. They need to start reflecting the real America, not just the narrow corridor of elite opinion.
