Conservative Conference Shut Down in Brussels

Woke politicians will do anything to dismantle free speech and stop conservatism from spreading - even shutting down conferences to do so.

In a move of political desperation and authoritarian overreach, Brussels authorities took the shocking step of shuttering the National Conservatism Conference. This wasn’t due to any disturbance or threat; it was a bald-faced suppression of ideas, orchestrated by left-progressive politicians who quake in their boots at the mere whisper of nationalist and conservative thought gaining traction in Europe. It’s a stark reminder of the lengths to which those wedded to a failing liberal orthodoxy will go to silence dissent.

NatCon conferences host vibrant discussions and rigorous debates, tackling head-on the critical issues threatening the fabric of our societies: unchecked immigration, the indoctrination of our youth with divisive ideologies, the alarming cede of national sovereignty to faceless international bureaucracies, and the erosion of fundamental freedoms. NatCon conferences are beacons of intellectual diversity, attracting conservative luminaries, scholars, and political figures. Yet, in Brussels, the assembly was met not with debate or discourse but with police barricades, courtesy of a mayor more inclined to bullying than to the principles of freedom and democracy.

The actions of the Brussels authorities underscore a growing trend: a progressive Left so terrified of conservative ascendancy that they’re resorting to tactics more befitting of authoritarian regimes than democratic societies. They’re attempting to paint national conservatives as a radical fringe, hoping to ostracize us through fearmongering and brute force. But let’s be clear: this isn’t about safeguarding democracy from the so-called “far right.” It’s about stifling debate, about quashing the rising tide of conservatism that dares to question the status quo. It’s about progressives, cornered by the failure of their policies, lashing out in a panic.

The establishments’ attempts to frame this as a matter of free speech miss the mark entirely. National conservatives aren’t the fringe extremists. We’re thinkers, policymakers, and citizens concerned for the future of our nations. The events in Brussels are not just an indictment of progressive authoritarianism; they’re a rallying cry for conservatives everywhere. The progressive strategy of silencing conservative voices through intimidation and suppression is on borrowed time.

This incident isn’t just a momentary lapse in judgment by the Brussels authorities—it’s symptomatic of a liberal ideology in decline, grasping at straws to maintain relevance. As conservatives, we must remain steadfast, for the tide is turning in our favor, and the desperate acts of a fearful opposition only serve to underline the potency and necessity of our cause.
